We’re building a Kingdom Community of wholehearted disciples who bring heaven to earth! One of the best ways we’ve seen that happen is in smaller groups gathering consistently to grow in Biblical understanding and deepening friendship.
This summer one of the ways we want to stay connected and deepen community is by offering small cohorts. Cohorts are an invitation to dive deeper into a certain topic over a short period of time. We’re offering a wide range that addresses the current needs of the house and also stretches us as we become more wholehearted disciples. They are open to anyone interested!
Practicing the Way: Generosity
Wednesdays @ 7pm
Using John Mark Comer’s Practicing the Way curriculum, this study will explore what it means to become a more generous people in the way of Jesus.
Are we really happier when we give generously? We’re made in the image of a happy, generous God. When we practice generosity, we live according to our design and tap into God’s joy. We’ll discuss things like: the greater joy of giving rather than receiving, the temptation of greed, our stewardship, being generous to the poor, and best practices for becoming a generous people.
Emotionally Healthy Spirituality
Tuesdays @ 7pm
Based on Pete Scazzero’s Emotionally Healthy Spirituality study, this course will help us explore what it means to experience spiritual formation that deeply transforms both our inner life and relationship with God.
We’ll learn how to slow down our lives and develop depth in our relationship with Jesus. We’ll learn and walk through how to confront crises, know and become our authentic selves, dig into the stories of our family of origin, investigate the walls that keep us from growing in maturity and helpful practices that build time with God through silence and sabbath, and develop our inner world.
