PRAY WITH US

Why We Pray.

We believe prayer is powerful. It’s not just a spiritual practice, but a partnership with God to see His heart and purposes fulfilled in our lives, our church, and our city. As a church, we don’t just want to talk about prayer, we want to be a praying people. Prayer is how we align with God, contend for breakthrough, and carry hope into a world that desperately needs it. When we pray, we’re bringing heaven to earth.

Let’s believe together for a New Orleans marked by His presence, His power, and His promises.

PROMISES

NEW NEW ORLEANS

God is bringing about a new day for New Orleans. Declare that the old is passing away and the days to come will be marked by confident hope, healing and holiness. No longer will New Orleans be known for darkness and hardship. It will be a city that worships God and displays His glory and goodness. We ain’t seen nothing yet!

Pray with us: Isaiah 54:11-15
O storm-battered city, troubled and desolate! I will rebuild you with precious jewels and make your foundations from lapis lazuli. I will make your towers of sparkling rubies, your gates of shining gems, and your walls of precious stones. I will teach all your children, and they will enjoy great peace. You will be secure under a government that is just and fair. Your enemies will stay far away. You will live in peace, and terror will not come near. If any nation comes to fight you, it is not because I sent them. Whoever attacks you will go down in defeat.

INFLUENCE AND IMPACT

The Church was designed by God to be a life-impacting, hope-inducing, society-influencing change agent that literally brings the kingdom of heaven to earth. Declare that the Church in New Orleans would continue to grow in influence within the city and would make a tangible impact in every realm of society. Declare that what happens here would not be able to be contained and that New Orleans would be an export city from which the Gospel goes out into the entire world through missions and church planting.

Pray with us: Micah 4:1-2
In the last days, the mountain of the Lord’s house will be the highest of all— the most important place on earth. It will be raised above the other hills, and people from all over the world will stream there to worship. People from many nations will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of Jacob’s God. There he will teach us his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” For the Lord’s teaching will go out from Zion; his word will go out from Jerusalem.

MARKED BY GOD’S SPIRIT AND POWER

God wants to pour out His Spirit on those who are surrendered to Him. Declare that we will see a move of God in our lives, our church, our city and our world that is not a result of our own actions, but due to an outpouring of the Spirit of God that touches people powerfully. The faith for signs and wonders is growing in our hearts and miracles are becoming normal for us! He will take our little and do much with it as we seek Him wholeheartedly and ask Him to move! Ask for more!

Pray with us: Zechariah 4:6
Then he said to me, “This is what the Lord says to Zerubbabel: It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

GOALS

UNION WITH GOD

Pray that every person in our church would experience an increase of grace and hunger in this season to seek Jesus with everything. Pray for distractions to be cut out and devotion to Him and His Word to increase so that His voice would become louder than every other voice. Would the world be able to say, “though they are ordinary, it is clear that they have been with Jesus (Acts 4:13).”

Pray with us: Isaiah 8:11-13
The Lord has given me a strong warning not to think like everyone else does. He said, “Don’t call everything a conspiracy, like they do, and don’t live in dread of what frightens them. Make the Lord of Heaven’s Armies holy in your life. He is the one you should fear. He is the one who should make you tremble.

GROUPS OF 2-3

Pray for our church to grow in Kingdom Friendships! Would every person in our church seek to find other believers to connect with for their own growth and also to invite God’s presence into their lives in a greater measure. May the rhythm of vulnerability, accountability, and encouragement produce great fruit as we lean into friendship and build a Kingdom community.

Pray with us: Matthew 18:20
For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.

UNITY

A divided nation needs a unified Church. Pray for our church to be of one accord as we pursue God and His Heart above all else. Pray also for all the churches in our city to come together in an unprecedented way in order to see New Orleans fully reached. Would our humility and unity make a way for God’s blessing (Psalm 133) and serve as a testimony to the world.

Pray with us: John 17:23
I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.

NEEDS

CREATIVITY IN LIMITATION

Pray we would each have fresh grace and wisdom to thrive in this season and keep moving forward in the things of God. Instead of frustration would there be innovation. Would we each be able to say what we CAN do in this season instead of what we can’t. As everyone begins to do what they can, may we experience in deeper ways that we have more than enough! As we continue to embrace reality and work within limitations, would new things emerge in our lives to bring Him glory that wouldn’t have otherwise been possible.

Pray with us: Isaiah 11:2
And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on him— the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.

PATIENT ENDURANCE

The Bible says patient endurance is what we need so we can continue to do God’s will. In this season of transition and surrender, pray we would each aggressively pursue God without giving up even when it is difficult or tiring. Pray for renewal and refreshment by the Holy Spirit to help us endure.

Pray with us: Hebrews 10:35-36
So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! 36 Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.

HEALING AND WHOLENESS

Pray God would lead us all into the full healing and newness of life He has for each of us. Pray for wisdom and grace to deal with past trauma, and restoration and deliverance from wounds, entanglements, sin, ungodly beliefs, and strongholds. Would every person who needs it experience the “instead” of Isaiah 61 where mourning is replaced with dancing and sorrow is replaced with joy. As we become more whole, pray that God would help us lead others to freedom and healing as well.

Pray with us: Isaiah 61:1-3
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed. He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord’s favor has come, and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies. To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks
that the Lord has planted for his own glory.
