Thank you for being willing to lead your House Church through vision this week! Vision helps us remember what Jesus wants to do in our midst and keeps us moving in the same direction together. This kind of clarity and unity is vital for building Kingdom communities of wholehearted disciples!
To lead vision:
- When the HC Pastor hands it over to ya, simply say that you will be sharing vision for why we gather as a House Church.
- Read the House Church Liturgy below–take it slowly.
- End by praying aloud for those things to take place in your House Church.
House Church Liturgy
The main reason we do House Church is for the rhythm of Table Fellowship–sharing life over a meal, with the people of God, around the presence of God.
It was from this rhythm of the early church that everything else flowed. It says in Acts 2:42-47,
“All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity— all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.“
The simple commitment and habit of gathering week-after-week, when it is easy and when it is hard, is a main way a Kingdom community becomes more like Jesus and brings Heaven to earth.
