CONNECT | FELLOWSHIP + VISION + WORSHIP
We begin House Church by taking communion and sharing a meal together. This is to be a time of intentionality where we hear about how each other is doing and check in on how it’s going obeying Jesus! For a list of Scriptures to use for Communion, click here. After dinner, circle up as one group.
Have everyone open to Acts 2:42-47. Ask someone to read the blurb below and pray afterwards.
We meet as a House Church because this is a main way a Kingdom community becomes more like Jesus and brings Heaven to earth. We read Acts 2:42-47 to remind ourselves what is possible as we do this week-after-week. (Read the passage and then pray for God to do this in our midst!)
“All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer. A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.“
Acts 2:42-47

CONTENT | SCRIPTURE + PRACTICE
Have two people take turns reading this blurb from Blake and Lena:
We are moving into a new season as a church! The last five years have been laying the foundations and now we get to build upon what God has established here. We believe this to be a season of greater maturity and greater fruitfulness. The new Sunday location is a physical representation of this move into something new and it also gives us an increase of bandwidth and capacity for the next things God sets before us. As we go into the summer season, it is a time of slowing down and resting to be renewed for another year of engaging with God, His people and His purposes in our lives. Rest is not passive, however. It is a purposeful offering and creates space for us to seek God and to listen to Him. We will still be the people of God together in different ways even as we take a break from meeting weekly in House Church. One way we want to do that is by uniting around the same prayers this summer. Here are the Big 5 things we’ll be praying for:
- Pray for each person at Antioch to know Jesus in a fresh way that leads to authentic connection with Him and deeper transformation of heart and mind (Hosea 6:3)
- Pray for our church community to have healthy, strong and united relationships where people are sharpened by each other to live as wholehearted disciples. (Acts 2:42-47)
- Pray that each of us would be bridge builders amongst our families, neighborhood communities and places of influence so that the Kingdom would come in these places. (Matthew 28:18-20, 2 Corinthians 5:18-20)
- Pray for our church community to experience Jesus and His Kingdom in such a way that it would impact the world around us in a greater capacity — starting from the Hoffman Triangle and going out to the nation and nations of the earth. (Psalm 33:8, Habakkuk 2:14)
- Pray for the “Lord of the harvest to send out laborers” from our church to different parts of the world where the Gospel has yet to be heard. (Matthew 9:36-38)
Tonight, we’re going to spend some time talking to Jesus together as we ask Him for these things. We’ll also spend some time talking about how to carry these prayer points into the summer both individually and together.
HC Pastors: Facilitate prayer time

COMMIT | DELEGATE + PRAY
Discuss:
What could it look like practically to keep these prayer points before us during the next few months? What will you do personally? What can we do together?
Delegate:
Who will cook dinner? Facilitate communion? Facilitate worship? Take the group through the guide?
Have someone pray to send us out in the power of the Holy Spirit.
